Length of the route: 500 meters
Length of the tour: 45 minutes

The Bozkov Dolomite Caves are situated on the northern slope of the municipality of Bozkov in the hilly landscape of the Krkonoše foothills. The entrance into the underground area was discovered by dolomite miners in the 1940s, but it was not until 1957 that the underground system of fissure corridors that are partly filled with water was discovered. The Bozkov Dolomite Caves are a labyrinth of underground corridors and cavities situated not far below the surface. The typical and unique decorations of the accessible caves consist of quartz ledges and listels in the walls and ceilings. Some of the hollows are even filled with stalactites and stalagmites, including small, interesting eccentric stalactites and stalagmites, in addition to traditional calcite decorations. Attractive items along the sightseeing tour include underground lakes with crystal-clear, blue-green water. The Bozkov Dolomite Caves are the only cave system in North Bohemia accessible to the public. The caves and their surroundings are a protected area according to the Nature and Landscape Protection Act.
